Information Literacy and Critical Thinking

Evans Library

Evans Library Information Literacy Rubric

The Evans Library uses the Information Literacy Assessment & Advocacy Pilot as a pre-test and post-test for student in English I (ENG103) and English II (ENG104).

The Evans Library's Information Literacy rubric is based on the Association of College & Research Library's (ACRL) Information Literacy Standards.  This rubric was developed in large part from established rubrics of the University of Kentucky and Southern Oregon University as included in the Rubric Assessment of Information Literacy Skills (RAILS) project.

The Evans Library applies this rubric to projects, presentations and assignments across the curriculum as a method of assessing FM student's compentencies in the ACRL standards and the SUNY General Education requirements of Information Management and Critical Thinking.
