Science

This research guide has been developed by the librarians at the Evans Library to assist students in doing research on science topics.

Recommended Science Sources

The Evans Library provides online access to a large number of science related articles. You can search for articles in databases by clicking on the links below. Need more help? Ask a Librarian!

Reference books are located on the 1st floor of the Evans Library. eBooks can be used anywhere by clicking on the title of the book. If you need help, ask a Librarian!

Streaming films specific to science topics can be found in Films on Demand. A short tutorial on using Films on Demand is below.  If you need help accessing any of these sites, ask a Librarian!

Boolean Logic

Using Boolean Logic (And/Or/Not) is one of the easiest ways to get the information you want from a online book catalog or database.  Click on this link for a simple (and colorful) explanation of Boolean logic in action. Then put it to use! If you need help, ask a Librarian - that's why we're here!
