Thanks to our partners in the public and private sectors, our services are free of charge.
The New York State Department of Transportation is divided by region. Region 2, the Mohawk Valley Region, has a full-time staff of 620 to serve the approximate 480,000 people living in the six-county area (Hamilton, Herkimer, Fulton, Madison, Montgomery, and Oneida Counties) that covers 6,146 square miles. The residents inhabit 8 cities, 53 villages, and 89 towns, traveling on 1,335 centerline miles of state highways, 482 state bridges, and 95 miles of Amtrak Line.
