A Welcome from President Greg Truckenmiller

Welcome to Fulton-Montgomery Community College. It is my pleasure to share with you all the wonderful things that await you at FM.FM is a comprehensive community college offering a variety of academic programs ranging from Business, to General Studies, to Fine Art, to Technology. Through the diversity of our curricula we strive to meet the needs of the region and our students by preparing them to transfer to a university or to enter the workforce upon completion of a program. And, if you don’t see it in our catalog, look into our COCAL program; this program is designed to be flexible and combine classroom education with internships to customize a program to meet your needs.

At FMCC we pride ourselves on being a small community college; but don’t confuse small with no opportunity! At FMCC our students excel and often find themselves to be leaders on our campus and in the community after they leave us. Our friendly atmosphere offers you an opportunity to get to know our faculty and staff. You’re not just a number, you’re one of the family; and we want you to succeed.

In addition to our excellent degree programs, FMCC offers academic and student support services that are designed to help you succeed. Success at any college is up to you; but FMCC provides services including: advising, counseling, academic intervention, tutoring, student clubs, athletics, and much, much more. All designed to make your college experience one to remember. If you’re looking to get involved, you can make a difference here.

On campus we have worked hard at updating our facilities as well. We are in our third year of upgrading our science and technology labs and the Rao Theater was recently renovated.

I hope that you’ll find FMCC to be the college experience that best meets your needs. If you have any questions, call us or stop by. We’ll be able to answer your questions and show you around our campus.

I look forward to seeing you on campus.

Greg Truckenmiller, Ph.D. President
